Runing noses in cold winters? Every one of us might havdd experienced the cold winter night and the running nose due to cold.have you ever thought why does it happen?in winters,the air arround us is cold but the lungs require a typical warm air for its functioning.so there will be an increased blood flow out to the nose,which keeps air intake warm.but it has a side effect,l.e.,the production of a high amount of snot from the muscus secreated by the glands in the nose.this is why the nose oftenly runs in winter.

Tears and onions? We usually get tears while cuting onions.why does it happen after all?onions contains Amino acid-sulfoxides,which converts into sulfenic acid in the onion cell.on cutting the onion,the enzyme starts to mix with the sulfenic acid to form propanethiol S-oxide gas,which is a volatile gas that reaches our eyes.this volatile gas then reactst with the water of the eyes.forming mild sulphuric acid;causing a burning sensation in our eyes this burning sensation stimulates the tear glands to secrete tear;-(;-( in order to dilute and remove the irritant.

The rusting of apple? Most of us love apples,but have you thoughats why does a cut apple turns brown in colour?it is just because when exposed to air,due to the oxidation process which goes on inside the apple as it comes in contract with the air containing oxygen.this brown colour is actually the rust.apples are a rich source of iorn,which when exposed to air reacts with oxygen forming iron oxides.apples skin protects it form this process.

The inflammation of the intestinal tract is the most common ailment due to bacterial or viral infection.the infection are also caused by the parasites of intestine like tapeworm,roundworm,threadworm,hookworm,pinworm etc. Jaundice:-the liver is affected,skin and eyes turn yellow due to the deposit of bile pigments. Vomiting:-it is the enjection of stomach contents through the mouth.this reflex action is controlled by the vomit centre in the mendulla.a felling of nausea precedes vomiting. Diarrhoea:-the abnormal frequency of bowel movements and increased liquidity of the faecal discharge is known as diarrhoea.it reduces the absorption of food. Constipation:-in constipation,the faeces are retained within the rectum as the bowel movements occur irregulary.
